It’s the oddly shaped, often closed building near the waterfront in Mitchell Park. That’s what a great many people know of the Camera Obscura. But in reality, it is a unique piece of sophisticatedly simple machinery, manually operated and based upon a series of lenses reflecting a 360-degree image of its surrounds in real time upon a table in the center of the darkened room. Still confused? It’s open from 1 – 4pm, Saturday and Sunday, for your enjoyment.
